To the Right: Beware an Enraged Left
I think we all know, or may be on the verge of realizing, that the only thing more dangerous than an overzealous political Right wing in America, is an reinvigorated, infuriated Left wing. There is a growing undercurrent of resentment and anger among many with the way that the exclusive interests of the Bush Cabal and its' backers have usurped their power, and abuse it at the expense of everyone else.

Who really expects this to be any different with another four years of Bush? Another four years of Bush will bring even more job losses through corporate-friendly globalization practices, needless for-profit warfare, THE DRAFT, and many more lives needlessly destroyed. If the Right wing really thinks that quoting biblical scripture and deifiying Dubya is going to keep the people calm while they're losing everything else, woe to them!

For the record, I firmly believe that John Kerry is going to be victorious on Tuesday night. But if he's not, and there's even the slight suggestion that Bush and his minions have stolen the election again... Look out.

it's time to take it into the streets and if you are not willing to fight for your country right f@*king now, then you better be ready to admit we are weak and ineffective. Damn straight the left is pissed off and we had better show on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2004 if the shit hits the fan.

7. Enraged Left
Personally, I have had this low simmer since the stolen election of 2000. It was stolen by Bush and his brother and all of their cronies. Gore and his team were not prepared for this and they were not nearly as forceful as they should have been. He came off looking as if he was whining (regardless of whether it was appropriate or not) while Bush came off looking presidential, at least in that short time period. Note that this is how I see OTHERS as viewing that situation, not how I saw it. Ever since then I have been seething mad at what happened and patiently waiting for my next chance to vote him out of office. I am tired of liberal being a dirty word. I am tired of MY life (I am gay with a partner of 13 years) being used as a political scapegoat. I am tired of the right-wing thinking they are Christians when very few of them are acting in any way Christian. This is just as much MY country as it is theirs. I was born here, and I was born on the Fourth of July. Every one of my birthdays has been tied to patriotism and to this great country of ours. Our country is based upon fairness and freedom for all, not for the select few who happen to be in power or who happen to be the current majority. I am enraged at what they have done to this country and the image that America now signifies to the world. America should be a shining beacon of democracy, an example for all of the world to look up to and to strive for. Instead, America is now despised by a significant number of people around the world for what it has done. After 9/11, the world came together with us to comfort and console us. We could have grasped hands with the world and gone out together to defeat this evil, but instead, we kicked and screamed and lashed out like a child to those who sought to comfort and help us. We are now the spoiled rotten bully on the block. Now is the time that we need to take back America and put it back on the course that it should be on. It's time we did the right thing so we can be proud to call ourselves Americans again. You bet I'm enraged. Aren't you?
