If my ultra-lefty neighborhood is any indication Nader will be no factor
Today I went canvassing in my Isthmus neighborhood in Madison which is very politically progressive. Nader ran second to Gore here--with Bush running a very poor third. It was one of Nader's best showings in Madison in 2000 and he had lots of obvious supporters with lots of Nader signs on lawns, ect.

Well, today as I was hanging voting guides and going door to door--not one house I visited had a Nader sign, but tons of Kerry's signs I tried to keep track of all the Kerry yard signs and I stopped counting after 50.

I also spoke with folks who can't wait to get out and vote on Tuesday, equally enthused about Kerry and ridding this country and world of Bush. I spoke with at least 4 people who said they were big time Nader supporters in 2000, but not this year--they will vote for Kerry. Nader got nearly 3 million votes in 2000 and if my admitedly lefty neighborhood is any indication a lot of Nader 2000 voters will be voting for John Kerry--that could make the difference.

1. I live in "librul" Massachusetts and I don't know ONE person
that's voting for that poseur.

Thankfully, I think Nader will not affect this election.

2. I knew four Boston Nader (big!) donors/supporters in 2000
They are now BIG Kerry donors and supporters. Even THEY don't know where this so-called support is coming from . One worked the national campaign with Nader in 2000 and he doesn't even know one 2000 supporter who is still on board

His belief, by the way, is that either some are playing with responses to get Dems to drift back to that Nader "bandwagon" (ha) or that the media is claiming he has support for their own ends.

Seriously, none of them would even listen to me in 2000. Now they are working today at the Kerry office in the suburbs.

3. Nader sold out to the Repukes
and people who used to support him know it. And most folks who voted Nader last time, myself included, knows that it is vital we vote Kerry this time.

4. I voted for Nader in 2000
and because he sold out to the Rethugs this year, he will never again get my vote.

I've always voted for third-party candidates. Never again!
