4. Garlic Mashed Potatoes !!!

The Anchorage Daily News did an awesome full color page this past Wednesday showing the culinary likes and dislikes of Kerry and Bush.

The cartoon photo was done Chris Ware of Knight Ridder Tribune was AWESOME! The article was compiled by the Anchorage Daily News (ADN) as well as AP sources. I tried to post it on here, but the cool graphics weren't available on-line. Plus the ADN is a hassle since you have to register. (It's available in print version only on Wednesday's archive @ http://www.adn.com )

:) I knew Senator Kerry loved chocolate chip cookies (and the article says so) but it says that his "favorite thing in the world" is garlic mashed potatoes! He also loves roasted chicken, omelets, grilled veggies, cheesecake and what they referred to as "straight-forward food".

Bush's list was too boring to add.. but here's what the culinary expert who compiled the lists for the two said:

Bush: Reporters covering the Bush campaign observed George W.'s diet as "largely that of a 13-year old boy."

Kerry: (This one was answered by the caterer handling the Kerry campaign per the article) ... "It was kind of vague. The just faxed me a list of things he liked and told me to be prepared for anything, so I just brought a huge cooler of food."
