Where is the October surprise???
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 04:03 PM by leftyandproud
Seems neither Bush nor Kerry have one in store.

The missing weapons thing would have worked great if CBS/NYT had been able to keep it under wraps a little longer, but apparently it leaked out, and the story has since been pretty much debunked..

It could have worked great if it had aired TONIGHT as was originally planned. The pukes would not have had time to get the info and mount a defense...Kerry would have sailed to an easy victory.

With that out of the way, now what?
What else is there?

I'm praying Kerry has something up his sleeve to use tomorrow..

2. How has the missing explosives story been debunked.?
From what I read, it's been confirmed through multiple sources. BushCo responded with multiple lies.

8. Yes, I'd like to see some sources for that. Debunked by the poor guy the
Pentagon trotted out that couldn't even get the date right, and didn't remember seeing any IAEA seals? KKKarl said the story wasn't true? What? Please do tell.

16. Actually, my three right wing acquaintances all told me..
..the same thing about it. "Don't jump to conclusions."

Which means, I guess, wait until after the elections. There is a chance of the story popping back up as stories about more explosives have surfaced today and it might get some play with Powell's statements that we're losing the war in Iraq.

4. Karl's surprise is...
...due Monday or Tuesday. It'll be a massive terror attack on Washington DC. Martial law will be declared, the elections will be "postponed" until "order is restored," and the "shadow government" (remember them?) takes over.

13. Maybe the OBL tape was Repug's surprise.
But it didn't work out well for them, did it? Makes me thing ole furious Georgie dropped the ball. Hopefully right-leaning folks might be able to get that into their thick skulls.

14. I think that was it.
Rove called up OBL and asked him to make a boogie man tape to scare everyone into voting for Jr.

I don't think it worked out quite as he had hoped.

19. Agreed.
And I also agree that it was arranged ... OBL had to pay back Shrub for letting him survive.

Not gonna make a difference at this point, imho.

:dem:

Kerry on!

20. Debunked?
Defused perhaps, but only because it is the nature of the media to always move on to the "next big thing" whether the last story is resolved or not. That was caused by outside events, not because it was "debunked". Kerry doesn't need a surprise, he is facing an incumbent who is polling below 50%. Democrats can do math. We win.
