There are people who still want Nader????
Take a look at this website.

http://www.draftnader2004.com/

Are these people kidding? While I am a Green and I did vote for Nader in 1996, why can't people realize that this is not the time to front a third party presidential candidate. The stakes are just too high this time around. We need as many people as we can to vote for the Democratic nominee to get Bush out. I am ready to put aside any differences to achieve the one goal; Bush going back to Texas.

Anybody remember Aragorn's pre-battle speech at the Black Gate in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? Think of the speech and think of what we are up against in real life.

" I see in your eyes the same fear
that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails,
when we forsake our friends
and break all bonds of fellowship.
But it is not this day.
This day we fight!"

1. There will never be a right time to run a third party candidate
so there will never be a third party.

2. Why is that?
I am afraid your comments seem to be tinged with some arrogance. I do not see any reason for people to run as a third party in the local or state elections but as for president not this time around. I am afraid the two-parties have way too much power and America would be better off if it followed the example of Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands as they are mulitparty democracies. People can benefit in having better choices in voting this way.Just my opinion.

3. There
will always be two similar parties with no one to challenge them. Republicans and Democrats will never allow it. You must show obedience and vote for that party and if you dont and fuck things up for one party you will be politically blacklisted. The ultra pragmatic
democratic party mind will now play dirty tricks on "real left" parties who come close to challenging them so there will never be a third party candidate.

7. Then America is not really a democracy.
If that's what you are saying and as for obedience, sorry. I vote on the issues and their merits as well as what I believe in. Not with obedience. I am just backing the Democrats for president because I don't want four more years of Bushco.

8. For some it's a matter of principle
rather than what others think is important. While I don't agree, I can appreciate their voting their principles.

And then there were none!

9. I thought that way for a long time after
the 2000 election.

I thought:

"How could I get mad at the Greens for voting for Nader. They did what they thought was right."

But, you know what? After this moron's been in office, I can't think that anymore.

Later Nader!
