List items that will make your wait in line more comfortable on Tuesday:
A rain poncho or umbrella (depending on weather).

Something to drink and a protein bar. (Maybe left over Halloween candy for the rest in line.)

One of those pop-out camp chairs (if you have leg or back problems).

A book or magazine to read.

CD walkman with good tunes.

Anything else? Please list.

5. a handful of kazoos
...pass them out and start a little hootenanny of all-American songs.

Bubbles?

Order pizza?

I have no idea. We vote by mail in this state, and miss the social aspects.

20. Damn lucky you vote by mail
Even early voting times here run up to three hours (but will be worth it if we get the Bushco Fascist Regime out).

I personally have to vote with a bunch of illiterate Repukes - I can spot 'em a mile away. Mean, snotty looking people or rednecks.

.
I think Michael Moore has said take your videocamera (if you have one) so you can film things if people are turned away or if there are inappropriate cops standing around. That sort of thing.

I wouldn't be able to surf.

Edit: Actually, I'll probably take a quilt I'm working on. People get friendly when they see someone sewing, there's less tension. I sew in waiting rooms all the time.

8. Best thing of all: VOTING EARLY!
*grins*

Already voted as a permanent absentee voter here in California. Felt great, dropping off my ballot a week and a half ago.

Kerry and the Dems, straight ticket.

:D

24. Something to Make the Process Easier
Some Republican schill posted an ad in the local free paper entitled "Don't let the liberal News and Record tell you who to vote for." He then proceeded to list all of the conservative candidates below.

It's so hard to know all of the small time candidates' positions. It was nice of this guy to help me know who not to vote for.

25. Yes, that reminds me. I did take my "sample ballot" with me
and had already filled it out so I wouldn't have any problem remembering who to vote for in the local races when it came time to mark the real ballot. Judicial races and like that.
