WTF is the matter with Tom Brokaw? Brought up Bush IQ to Kerry
This is nothing but a pro-* attack on Kerry. Watch him try to suck off Bush next.

Are you a liberal?
Were you wrong to talk about Mary Cheney?
Saddam would still have those explosives, right?

Just found out what channel NOT to watch on Tuesday.

1. He asked Bush* tough questions, too, in the interview they showed
on the Nightly News. Kerry handled himself just fine.

4. Telling Kerry that bush has a higher IQ
which I sincerely doubt is not a question. It's a snide, dumb comment. Anyway, who cares right? The Skins lost! LOL :bounce:

21. * IQ
IQ measures mostly the same kinds of intelligence that the LSAT measures, and *'s LSAT was too low for him to get into the University of Texas Law School, so I doubt that his IQ is much above average.

25. yes--and since when do GOOD journalists accept one's self-report
as solid evidence of anything?

Jessica Simp(le)son claims to have a "genius" IQ.

Uh-huh.

Looking for a response that would make Kerry sound elitist or arrogant.

Kerry nailed the response perfectly.

7. Asked Kerry about the report that based on mil tests
Bush had a higher IQ. Kerry said "good for him"

Now a tough question for Bush: "Make a prediction" "Will it be decisive?"

What BS

child should do in schools." It is a culturally bias test that has remained with us long after its usefulness (Schools still use it to evaluation "how well a child should do in schools.") But a child from another culture other than the predominate White, Euro-Christian culture will not perform as well due to cultural bias such as language and customs.

TB knows that. What an idiot. Look for something other than a real issue , Tom. Your IQ is not high enough to comprehend a "real" issue. BTW, Tom, how does your IQ compare to Walter's, quite a bit lower I suspect.

With all due disrespect for the weasel-ly right turn he made.

I don't care that he honors WW2 soldiers - this is now and he leans to the fascist right.

Good-bye Tom. Glad to see you go.

14. I thought he was fairly balanced ...

An impartial journalist would in fact be tough on both or all candidates and probably bring up things that partisans for those candidates would not like. As long as that happens to everyone involved in a race, it's fine.

As for the IQ thing, that could cut both ways. Remember, Shrub tries to pass himself as a regular guy and laughs off criticisms of his inability to speak proper English as pendantic grumbling by the intellectual elite. *Not* being a thinker is consider by many of his supporters one of his attributes. One one level, bringing up the Shrub's IQ works against the image Shrub has tried to cultivate.

16. Bush's EQ is near zero, though

As most psychologists know, Emotional Quotient or EQ, is a better indicator of emotional adjustment and ulitmate success in life. George W. Bush is a social retard who is still trying to compare penis sizes with his daddy. He is an emotional basket case who desperately needs long-term psychoanalysis and shock treatment to break through the dull metallic glaze that is coating his neurons from 20+ years of alocholism and coke-sniffing.

Kerry is a normal man. Bush is a bed-wetting, immature, substance-abusing Momma's boy who never grew up!

23. People with high IQ can fake EQ tests
It's largely BS anyway, not nearly the statistics to back it up. Just ann attempt by self-important humanities majors to explain how they're superior to people in the physics department who smoke them on standardized tests.

Any decent journalist should know that someone who uses 90% of a 120 IQ is much starter than someone using 50% of a 140 IQ.

Besides, if Bush's verbal IQ is over 3, I'm a Franciscan monk.

22. I know that IQ
question was never asked when the smirk was running in 2000. And the chimps IQ is higher? All I have to ask is higher than who's? A third grader? Watching TV today I got more and more pissed off at the media whores. After Kerry gets in it will be Kerry bashing non-stop for 4 fucking years. I already have my news narrowed down to one channel and I'm pissed at them.

20. Oh, c'mon
Brokaw: "Someone has analyzed the president's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do."

I guess the president could have a verbal IQ of 100 and a nonverbal IQ of 200. That would make his overall average IQ 150, right? It wouldn't allow him able to function effectively in any case, though.

Obviously, if Bush were the genius this "someone" implies, he'd have been admitted to law school instead of rejected.

Who did chimp pay to take the IQ test for him?

Chimp hasn't used any intellect in years, if he in fact, had one.

How the fuck does going to war and expecting no casualties indicate any grey matter at all?

When Bush was saying very calmly that the country was so divided, no matter who won, he thought the most important thing was to just accept the results and not drag lawyers into it ...

All said with his creepy half smile.

29. So, what happened to character?...
I saw that, too, and it seemed so wierd. Then, there was a post earlier, I think in GD2004, where some one else said the same thing.

A new talking point? lol

Intelligence is only one trait scrutinized in deciding a canidate. I, for one, would rather have a canidate that wins a debate by addressing the issues inherent in the questions. It might be that the person who deflects and lies is smarter (I don't think one has anything to do with the other...by the way), however, he isn't someone I'd vote for. If you have to lie to win, I think it should be an automatic lose.

Ever heard of evil genius?
