2. I try to put as much info as I can fit into the subject line

at least enough so that people can tell whether they want to bother clicking on it or not.

I used to post on a forum that had really strict rules about that, so it got me trained well!

3. If you don't have text in the body, add 'eom' or 'nt' to the subject line.

If you have dial up, it's a drag to open something that doesn't have text.
