Only one reason you would put your candidate on NBC this late in the race
Only one reason you would put your candidate on NBC or any other major network this late in the race is because you know your in trouble. Not only did Bush camp give a late major interview, but he finally admitted the war was his responsibility. This shows me Rove knows Bush is in trouble because you would not allow your guy this late in the race to risk making a blunder.

4. Yes
But Bush is the incumbent if Rove thought this wasnt worth the risk of another major Bush verbal gaff, he would not of put him out there. Bush turned down Tweety. Kerry did not. He knew Brokaw would be a softer interview than Matthews. If Bush thought he was winning he would not of did the interview. This is just my opinion.

5. Yea' it's a little like putting an accused murderer on the stand
in his own defense. Defense attorneys avoid it like the plague until they think they have no choice.

9. my impression
was that his "responsibility" comment was more a dodge concerning guiliani's claim that it was the troop's fault.

10. nice of him to mention responsibility now
two days before the election.

It's not that he actually wants to BE accountable for anything - it's best if it just appears that way. He's toast.
