Went to Kerry rally in Manchester, NH today (pics I hope!)
My husband and my 2 year old daughter made the trek to New Hampshire to see Kerry at the rally today! We had a blast, my daughter charmed everyone around her by chanting Kerry (well it sounds more like Gerry, but they all got her!) She pointed to every pin and picture of him and got a big grin and said GERRY! She is her mother's daughter! We never got in the rally, waited for over 4 hours and then backed out of line so we could get to a spot where we could hear Kerry speak. His speech was awesome. He was introduced by Theo Epstein,Werner, and someone else from the Red Sox ownership/administration that I didn't catch their name. Epstein was saying how it has been 4 days and he think it has finally sunk in that they won the World Series, but it has been 4 years and still hasn't sunk in that Bush* is the President! Even though we didn't get in, we had a blast, met some wonderful people and just enjoyed soaking up the energy from our NEXT PRESIDENT, 2 MORE DAYS!

19. I heard 20,000 from a voluneer steering the crowds
toward the security checkpoint.
It was the biggest political crowd
in New Hampshire history!

5. Great pics. Thanks for taking them for us !
Could you forward these to Kerry4kerry (maybe it's kerryforkerry), he left the rally a little upset. Said the wait for the gates to open was a little too long. If it was up to me, I would have waited 8 hours to see the next president of the United States in person (patience is a virtue).

7. Unfortunately there were a lot of people that left or were
looking for a spot to listen because they couldn't get in.

The crowd estimate was 12,000 and according to Jean Shaheen it was the largest political rally in the history of NH.

10. We waited 4 hours
We left because we knew from our vantage point that there was absolutely no way we would get in in time for his speech. And we were right. It was still a good day though.

6. My husband and I went too. Nice pictures. We did the same
as you and found a place where we could at least hear.

Bruce Hornsby was amazing!

It was John Henry with Theo and Tom Werner.

8. Great Pics!
We were there also. Also didn't get in. Unfortunately, after 4 hours of waiting in line, the kids were so tired and hungry, we went for a bite and missed the speech! Great crowd though. I was very excited to see so many people (although I wish more of them were behind me in line!).

11. The larger crowd pictures are where we waited for over two hours
with being told by volunteers that yes, we were in the right place, be patient the metal detectors were slowing things down...then after two hours we were sent over to the parking lot where the rest of the pictures were. After two hours there we backed the stroller up and went and listened, we really met some great people and enjoyed the energy.

Logistics could have been better, but I just heartened myself with thinking New Hampshire volunteers have had better things to do than to make sure I get through a line quickly and efficiently like GOTV!

20. Nice pics. We waited about 2 hours and did get in.
We got in on time for Kerry's speech, but not by much. Unfortunately, because I'm short I couldn't see anything. Got a couple of glimpses of Kerry when I found something to stand on for a second, that was it. Also lost all the people I was with and didn't find them until after it was over. But Kerry's speech was great--I loved it!

If you saw any folks with Catholics for Kerry signs, I was with them, including a man with his little boy riding on his shoulders.
