Marc Racicot against a federal voting standard..."violates state's rights" |
|
Bob Kerrey arguing for "national standards" for our federal elections to overcome the fiasco that voting has become in our nation. How can we export our democracy to the rest of the world when our voting has become the world's laughing stock.
However, Bush/Cheney campaign manager Marc Racicot, former Republican Gov of Montana, says a national standard would violate a couple of centuries of "state's rights"!

Eh, it's a little vulgar. Maybe I'll come up with something better soon.
But hopefully he'll fall into a deep dark hole after * loses.

4. That's because certain states have, over about 140 years, |
|
mastered the art of keeping minority voters out of the voting booths and of disqualifying their ballots when they do manage to get to the booth.
They also manage to incarcerate many more minorities on felony convictions that they do whites under similar circumstances.
Many of those same states also can't seem to grant clemency to ex-felons who have done their time and stayed out of trouble so that those who want to can reclaim their civil rights.
We wouldn't want to waste all that valuable expertise now would we?

5. Did you hear Kerrey say he would advise John Kerry to not litigate if the |
|
election was close and would end up in courts. He said JK should let bush stay in....hell....I want him to take it as far as he could. Why campaign for 2 years and give up. The hell w/that.
