I recently saw on this site a Bush Pledge used at rallies.
I told several people about this pledge but have lost my link on DU. I have a couple of swing voters who would like a copy of this if possible?

What was the source?

2. Slate.com
"I want you to stand, raise your right hands," and recite "the Bush Pledge," said Florida state Sen. Ken Pruitt. The assembled mass of about 2,000 in this Treasure Coast town about an hour north of West Palm Beach dutifully rose, arms aloft, and repeated after Pruitt: "I care about freedom and liberty. I care about my family. I care about my country. Because I care, I promise to work hard to re-elect, re-elect George W. Bush as president of the United States."

3. That sounds familiar.
I have told this to several what I would call weak Kerry supporters, and they are aghast at the written pledge, the oral pledge kicks them over the edge. I am curious if there are several different versions of this. Also, if this is recited in close proximity to the Pledge of Aliegence.

For those of you working phone lines this is an excellent issue to mention. The Bush people have gone too far with this and it could hurt them the next two days.

7. Good article
Not only are they doing this to adults. I understand they have sent some high school students home (for wearing Kerry buttons) when they hold rallies in Public Schools.

I have never heard of this occurring in this country before and have reason to believe it is unprecedented. I am going to research this some more.

Thanks,

on edit:
Josh Marshall also discusses other things discussed at these rallies. While not 'pledges,' they are utterly ridiculous:
