I went to a Code Enforcement Board Meeting and the invocation was:

"Dear Lord, We are gathered in your presence, to do thy will. Give us the strength to perform our duties in accordance with thy will. "

I don't remember the rest, but it was like God was sitting on Code Enforcement and had passed the laws.

I fully expected one of them to look down the table and say "What'da ya think, Jesus? You agree with me dontcha?"
