1. I had the opportunity to see them in concert in NYC...
about 16 years ago. I really enjoyed their singing. I haven't thought about them in years. Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

I share virgdem's comments re bringing back memories. I saw them in upstate New York in the early 80s, maybe even earlier -- middle age memory kicking in. They were great then, and they are wonderful now; I've picked up their CDs every now and then and am never disappointed.

But quite apart from the memories, this song is in the spirit of the protest music of the 60s and early 70s, and we need to see a return, regardless of the outcome of the election -- even if JK is elected, we need to continue to keep the fundies at bay. In any case, you can be pretty damn sure radio stations aren't going to have the guts to play this sort of music, so the internet is the way to go. So send the link to everyone you know. It's more than worth a listen. It's critical that you listen.
