Nothing ever happens.
This seems like a big deal to us now, but EVERY time seems like a big deal.
The Repubs won't do a thing if they lose, other than whine a bit.
...neither would we.

4. Yakking away about the deficit that they made |

and how we should cut SS to tackle the deficit. In other words, more lies and idiocy.

The fiscal conservatives who don't particularly care for shrubs financial irresonsibility will blame and distance themselves from the fundies and their "moral" "christian" agenda. They have different values and objectives.
It's not a happy marriage and neither group is particularly adept at compromising. Yet they need each other to obtain power by whatever method.
Hard to see a divorce in the making. Just a very rocky marriage.

12. In this context "Gingrichian Defecit Hawk Non-Interventionism" means.... |
|
...a way to blame President Kerry for the incredible mess created by bush. At least, that's what it says to me.

9. Maybe sober heads will prevail -- |
|
-- among the few remaining moderates. Better to have Chaffee and Snowe speak for the party than a smirking chimp.
I'm stickin' to the left side of the ledger, but my advice to Rethugs is: lose the corporate pigs, lose the neocons, and by all means lose the evangelical nut cases.

10. I think a quiet revolution, |
|
we may even see a few defectors join the Democratic party after a while if the neocons retain power. There won't be anything noisy or splashy.

11. Old fashioned Repubican isolationism is dead. With or w/o Bush. |
|
Bush crystallized their base into a new aggressive mindset, and they'll never let it go, post 9/11. They'll keep saying we need to invade every country in the middle east, and that Dems are too chicken to do it. That'll be the new party line.
