Political spam permeates Internet, influences voters
By Jon Swartz, USA TODAY
A torrent of negative spam aimed at President Bush and Sen. John Kerry has flooded the Internet the past few weeks in an attempt to influence fence-sitting voters. In many cases, it's working.

One-fifth of Americans acknowledge political spam could have an impact on their vote, according to a MailFrontier survey of 1,000 adult Internet users in the USA.

Those results are encouraging news to political operatives increasingly using e-mail to reach voters.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

So, send out anti-Bush and/or pro-Kerry articles etc. to everyone in your address book; and encourage those you mail to do the same. Even if you don't know anyone planning on voting for Bush, the people you send it to may, or the people they send it to may, and so on.

Suggestion: List the urls of any good "candidates" you have that should be mailed out in this thread.

Here are a few pages on my web site you can use to accomplish the job:

- "100 Facts and 1 Opinion The Non-Arguable Case Against the Bush Administration"
http://www.independentmediasource.com/activist_election.htm#100_Facts_against_Bush

Hopefully, once they read the article, they will start using the tools on this page to go vote for Kerry - and even help to defeat Bush.

- I will even have a link to this post/thread entitled:
"Influence the vote with your personal email" (on the same page, right below the above-listed article.)

- Use my progressive video page: http://www.independentmediasource.com/video.htm

The all-in-one "Watch Online" video page on my web site that includes links to 26 progressive movies (including Farhenheit 9/11, Going Upreiver, etc.) to watch and/or download online
DU post here:

- My "all-in-one Mosh Video page": It has many links to the video, articles, etc. "... the most powerful broadside against the administration since "Fahrenheit 9/11."
http://www.independentmediasource.com/tmp/mosh.htm

Again, use them freely, and post your suggestions here.
