Why has Giuliani become Bush's main spinmeister on the news shows?
What background or experience has he had on federal government? He's never been elected to a federal legislative post, where he sees and acts on policy first-hand. Why is he being treated by the media as such an authority on national defense?

Why don't the media shills bring this out? (I know why, but I'm just asking a rhetorical question.)

7. That'll make the 2008 elections interesting.
Here's a guy who trolls for women like an alley cat. He's pro-choice, supports gun control and is not opposed to gay marriage.

4. It sure isn't to position himself for a 2008 run
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 07:10 AM by Gore1FL
He has blamed the troops for the explosives and now has tried to proffess he was speaking for Kerry.

He has come across as both delusional and smarmy.

Guliani is infected now by whatever fungus infects the B.A.

He was probably doing it originally to secure a good position for 2008, but he has been so gaffe ridden, IMO he blew it.

5. To squeeze the last drop out of 9-11.
They want voters to be left with two images, Rudy leading the crowd to safety aand B$$$ with the bull horn. That is there four year record so they try to make the election about Kerry's Senate record as if B$$$ were running for Kerry's Senate seat. The lazy incompetent media goes with the program and does disservice to itself and the public.

6. To try and remind the voters of 9/11!
Giuliani crapped out though when he went on the Today Show and blamed the troops for Al Qaqaa. Even Newsweek gave him a down arrow in their Conventional Wisdom poll!

8. Exploiting 9/11 since they want people to get in mindset they had then
The trotting out of Giuliani is merely exploitation of emotions to remind people of 9/11 since both Giuliani and Bush had high approval ratings back then.

The Bin Laden tape though has probably caused many people to be even more angry and upset with Bush for failing to go after Bin Laden hard enough but instead misdirecting our resoureces into Iraq causing so much loss of life and suffering there against innocent people and the hundreds of billions of wasted taxpayers dollars with only a disaster to show for it.

10. 1. Because he IS "America's Mayor." (blech!)
2. Because he singlehandedly saved New York City on 9-11.
3. Because you can trust him more than those Washington politicians.
4. Because he is the embodiment of republican family values.
5. Because he fights corruption wherever he finds it (so long as it's not political corruption in his own party).
6. Because he's so gosh-darned likeable. Just like *, only more . . . cosmopolitan.
7. Because he's out there, fighting for you and me.

Geez, I gotta stop. I'm getting sick.

Saw replay of mtp this morning and was shocked at the lies spewed by gulianni that were left unopposed by russert. These unopposed interviews must be controlled by the moderator when one guest wallows in the gutter and the other plays it straight.
