How will Dixville Notch vote tonight?
You know this small town in New Hampshire that votes first in the nation midnight on election day...

They've backed republican presidential candidates for the last 5 elections.

If my memory serves me right Bush got 23 votes in 2000, Gore got 3 votes and Nader got 1.

If Kerry is anywhere near 1/2 of Bush votes I think he will win big time.

3. Sounds like a pretty damn conservative town...
from the 2000 results ... I wouldn't look here for the beginnings of the Kerry landslide

7. It really is not a town but a Grand Hotel.
It is a lovely place to see and in the Fall it takes your breath away. I think the PO is right in the Hotel like the Mount Washington Hotel one is (Breton Woods) Usually The Notch goes GOP. I would say it has under 20 year round people. They do an interesting thing in the Fall. All the flower gardens are sprayed with water and in the morning they look so great as they are all frosted.
