Stolen yard signs? Respond thusly ...

Here is how some of my neighbors are responding to sign theft in my area.

1. I don't condone sign stealing

But after seeing many Kerry signs magically disappear repeatedly, I was VERY happy to see a bunch of * signs where the Bush/Cheney part was surgically removed.

3. I've been hit 3 times

Including my sign that read:

"Thieves! You can steal our signs but not our votes."

But no problem. I went over the the local Dem HQ and bought 10 Kerry/Edwards signs, 5 of which are lined up right noe in my very street visible front yard. They're still there as of this morning having survived the night.

One way or the other I'm putting out the other 5 this afternoon when I get home from work.

5. How about attaching a note to each sign...

saying, "Each time a sign is stolen, I make another donation to the Kerry campaign."

6. Lot's of people hit in my neighborhood too, though the signs keep

cropping up again. Many of my neighborsa are making their own, there are some great ones I have to photograph before the election is over.

4. LOL! Excellent.

I live in the most heavily republican ward of my town, I've had my KE sign up for almost a month now and it hasn't been disturbed in the slightest. I'm taking this as a good indicator of how things are going to turn out.
