Are there any statistics on the number of voting machines per capita?
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 09:32 AM by istherehope
I live in a very Republican area, when I walk in the polling place, there are 10 moderators, three machines and usually one or two voters. The longest I have every waited to cast my vote is about 1 minute. The voter turnout in my town is always over 70%.
The ratio of voters to machines is about 500 to 1. I have seen the pictures of people waiting three hours to vote in Democratic areas. Does anyone have the ratio of voters to machines in those areas? If there are huge differences, wouldn't that be unequal treatment under the Constitution?
