I just took down over 100 republican signs
illegally placed on state hwy 9 , which is the shopping/business/commuting road here, overnight. We've had our Kerry signs legally up on county and local roads for 2 weeks, and the bushbots didn't have any b/c signs out, planning for this 'surprise'. I made short work of foiling their plan in broad daylight, and it felt damned good :-)

8. Glad someone's keeping them legal
I just wish that holding the Pukes to the law
was as important to law enforcement officers in America.
There is such a double standard
when it comes to tolerance of bad behavior.

9. Be careful, there was an article on here last week
I believe where a woman was arrested for theft for doing that. She had over 90 signs in her trunk and was taking them from illegal placements and they arrested her for theft.

It seems the state is authorized to remove them, not citizens.

12. If push came to shove I'd go to court and pay my fine
definitely wouldn't be jail time. I would not let that stand waiting for the state to get around to it. They have better things to do.

26. I think they got her for grand theft
for the cost of the signs if I recall correctly.

I agree, the state usually takes forever to mess with that stuff. Just don't want to have to bail out a fellow DUer :)

Why the fuck are you people congratulating this poster?

When we get our signs stolen the Repukes are trampling on our free speech---how the fuck can we condone the very same behavior from our side?

I have had multiple signs taken from my yard, from the front of my office, and from other spots and let me tell you its sucks, but I have never and will never do the very same thing in response.

Not only that coming here and BRAGGING about on the board?

How do you know that this ain't some troll and you congratulary thread ends up on CNN or Fox as evidence that the Dems cheat?

Remember the friggin golden rule, keep your souls clean, we can win without cheating.

13. Note that he removed them from a public way, not private property
Removal of Kerry signs placed on a public way would be legal as well.

14. Because they were illegal signs on public property.
However, people should be careful. Call the police about the signs. Check with an election lawyer to make sure you can take them down in your state or county before you do this.

16. Read the post!
they were illegaly mass-placed on a state highway. I have never and would never take a legally placed sign and especially one on private property. There's plenty of places my Democratic signs co-exist peacefully with theirs.

17. Warning to Virginians--(Arl. County)--signs in medians are OK
until the election. Normally they are legally allowed only on weekends, but the law makes an exception just before the election.

19. vigilantism is not a good idea
do-it-yourselfers sometimes don't know the laws perfectly, best to leave it to the pros.

And your title doesn't mention the "illegal" part, which is absolutely the only justification for this.

21. I'd rather 'do it myself' than cry about dirty tricks Wednesday
I know from when there were republican freeholder signs up in locations on this highway 3 weeks ago that it took the 'pros' over a week to remove them. Don't have that time luxury now.

went to the town council when the pugs were doing this in Iowa. They told the cops and they wouldn't do anything so this guy went to every pug house and said... "move em or lose em" Kerry by 6% or more in Iowa.
