1. Typically conservative
Although I hear they might be leaning a little more to the left recently. I can't confirm that, but I have seen some talk about it.

2. Okay..
I was wondering because someone posted that a caller on CSPAN said that Bush could not fill a 42,000 capacity stadium in Cincinatti.

6. The city iteslf is 43% African American
and our voter registration/GOTV efforts have been awesome

All the people up top, on the side and the middle
Come together, let's all form this swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
No matter what color, all that matters we're gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains, let it rain
Yeah, the wetter the better
They ain’t gon’ stop us - they can't
We're stronger now, more then ever
They tell us "No", we say "Yeah"
They tell us "Stop", we say "Go"
Rebel with a rebel yell
Raise hell - we gon’ let em know
Stomp, push, shove, mush..
Fuck Bush

3. Cincinnati--depends.
The city itself is more liberal. The suburbs of Cincinnati are far more conservative. The city is at least 45% black. Probably more. It's the damn suburbs that always turns Cincinnati into a conservative city.

7. PLEASE DU THIS POLL!!
http://www.wtap.com /

Sorry to post this here, but I don't have the priveleges yet to post new threads. This is a local Ohio station that covers the entire southeast quadrant of the state, plus a populous chunk of WVA. I used to live here, and it's killing me their current poll results.

If someone else can post this as it's own thread that'd be great! Thanks!

And, by the way, as far as Cincy goes, they're lefter than Columbus but righter than Cleveland. Large minority population, and huge gap there between Upper and Lower income classes.

8. The urban area is moderate to liberal
However Hamilton county is very convervative Republican. There were times when every county office was held by Republicans. As it is now Portune is a moderate Democrat and Dusty Rhodes is a conservative Democrat. The reat of the county seats are GOP held.

City council is Democratic and Charterite majority. The Mayors office is Democraticlallt hels

9. But for the Black vote, it's a hopeless GOP enclave...
But Bush still couldn't fill the Great American Ballpark last night... he could only pull in 30,000 for a 42,000 seat stadium.

And that's with the state GOP busing in people from as far away as Cleveland.

11. Conservative. Lived there for twenty years.
When I first went there for college, so many people kept complaining about how conservative it was. However it is a great and beautiful city and there were plenty of people of my ilk there. However, Cincinnati has a horrible record with the Black community there - suppression suppression. Not much neighborhood integration. Lines are drawn almost visibly, but seems to be going even more conservative with the rise of minority professionals and others flocking there.

On another note: The Labor Day fireworks (with WEBN, one of the first FM rock radio stations) are probably the best in the country. My husband who was born and raised there goes back almost every year just for that occasion. I'm telling you they are a must see.

14. Wish we could push it across the Ohio River
Cincy is right across the Ohio River from Kentucky. If only Kentucky would annex it we wouldn't have to worry about Bush having a chance in Ohio. Of course then they'd stop kissing our battleground Ohio butts and sending out Hollywood stars to see us, so maybe Cincy's not so bad after all :)
