GOP pollster, "I want to prepare you for a likely Bush loss." (Not a Joke)
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 12:02 PM by troublemaker
Ms. Lopez is among the lowest and most hysterically devout Republican operatives. She is sure exudung optimism this morning! (If you follow the link, which I don't reccomend, ignore the annecdotal happy talk. I'm offering this just for KJL's comment)
SHOULD WE BE PREPARING FOR THE WORST? (KJL)
Talking to a GOPer pollster type this morning, he warns me, "i want to prepare you for a likely Bush loss." He's worried Ohio and Wisconsin are worse than we know because of the economy. And, generally--which is a point multiple people have consistently brought up-the numbers are just so much closer than they should be for an incumbent. (And yes, I know, we have to bear in mind the war, etc.)

DISCLAIMER I will continue posting signals of Republican collapse and defeatism without any fear that such signs lead to Democratic complacency. In my experience optimism does not make Dems complacent stay-at-homes. We like a party and hope makes us vote even more. Our boogie man is hopelessness, because we have been robbed before. All that keep Dems sitting on their hands is a conviction we cannot win, and believe me... we CAN win this one.

You don't "energize" Bush voters with the words "likely Bush loss".

"Possible", maybe, "percievable", sure. Bust "likely"??
This Lopez moron ought to be fired, then publicly tarred and feathered.

-
someone posted an article here about early voting had Kerry up in double digits in IA and FL

Man, we are a fragile lot aren't we. One post from a middle or low cheese person and the glass just shatters. Sheesh!

Too much negativity coming from pundits out of the blue. I think they're trying to fire up their base. Too bad their base isn't big enough!
