Battlegrounds: How powerful is the * ground war machine? |
I keep reading about the well-oiled, high-tech Rovian machine of volunteers in the battlegrounds that's been being built for the last four years. It sounds a little intimidating. Frankly I can't see Bushies getting their asses out of their Hummers and barcaloungers to volunteer their time for a cause. (Unless of course, they were doing it to skirt military duty.) So what's it like in the Battleground states? Who has the bigger army, the greater passion?

1. GOP "Volunteers" get paid here in Tennessee. I know we're |
not considered battleground.
