Sent this to undecided coworker voter...
Casual post-halloween talk revealed that one of my coworkers was undecided....I told her I would send her a reason to vote tomorrow...

here it is:

Election for me, one issue/

I wanted to share my #1 reason for supporting John Kerry tomorrow...

I have long felt that war is truly the last resort.

Bush took us to war with Iraq under wild claims of Iraq being a threat. When it is all said and done he made the decision to use the powers given to him by congress. Now 1200 soldiers have died and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians including women and children have been killed...there is so much evidence that this war did not have to occur to fight terrorism that I could fill pages and pages.....

Simply, there was no threat. No biological weapons, no nuclear program....nothing.

George W. Bush really mislead this country to gain support for a invasion. He used fear and intimidation and a corporate controlled news media.

The America I grew up in is not a torturing, warring invader. For that reason I cannot vote for Bush and justify his terrible mistake of invading Iraq.

1. Nice idea, unfortunately there are too many words. Try -
bush is a dumbass.

If she really can't make up her mind it's because things are too complicated for her and using too many words will only confuse her.

5. Hope I didn't come off as slapping you, but I'm amazed at the
amount of hand wringing some people go through to decide on a candidate. If she hasn't figured it out at this point, it's likely she'll have regrets for whomever she votes.

Telling her why you are voting for Kerry/against bush (more friendly than the head slap I would use) is probably the best route. It's hard to argue with a well-reasoned argument when your opponent has no position either way.

Good luck.

3. Good way to state your point.
You centered it on war is a last resort, a traditonal American value, and diverted attention from the right wing talking point of saving us from evildoers. George Bush has betrayed our country by taking us to war on trumped up reasons..
