Republican supporters are almost as arrogant as their leader...
And when they fall, it will be a loud thud. Their leader promotes this air of inevitablility and it carries over thru the talking heads on radio to freeperland. It had never occurred to them that they might lose. Not until today. The reality is starting to sink in and it is not a pretty sight. Hide all the razor blades and ropes. They have a long way to fall. :)

1. Have you been over to FR?
I don't go there myself, but if you have anything amusing to report, feel free. :)

6. Kentusk all I have to say is, this applies to the radicals
in the GOP. The moderates know that if their party is to survive they need to loose so they can retake it.

The election is not even here, but we have already seen some weirdness... such as the GOP precinct leader in DeLay's district endorsing the Democrat (Please moderate GOPers, listen to her and vote for the Donkey).

We have seen other weirdness, including Novak's dire warnings that a loss will lead to a virtual civil war.

That party is comming apart at the seams.

I personally smell 1800 and the end of the GOP, as we know it

They may split and the moderates retake the party and rebuilt it... will take years before anybody will listen to them again. Or they will split, the Neo Cons and religious right will keep power and they will go away, into the dustbin of history... (the whig fate)

Either way, you can smell the fear among those in power in the GOP. Oh and I believe many GOP moderates are voting straight Demo tickets to reclaim their party (I'll take their votes either way)... let me remind you, the last time this happened was... 1932
