"What opposition? I only see support" W to Tom Brokaw |
|
Heard this on Air America. It was the answer to "how will you unite a divided country". W doesn't think it's divided at all (if you didn't take the oath, you simply don't exist). Fuzzy memories of the focus groups speech during the anti-war protests.

1. I saw bits and pieces and he was so clueless it was amazing. He |
|
started bitching at Brokaw for asking about if he would change how he did anything in Iraq. Why change anything, it has worked out just perfectly, right? such a dumba$$!

That scanner thing killed me back then. A barcode scanner fascinated the President. A former VP and former CIA head. How disconnected from the real world can you get?

17. Brokaw had a whole list of errors, which B* backed out of, but Brokaw |
|
should have asked If B* would have not changed the decision to go to war considering the deaths! Brokaw screwed up on this one BIG time, in my opinion. It's OK to discuss No WMD, "evil" Hussein, missing explosives problems, increases in Iraqi terrorism post war, etc. but for Brokaw to have excluded the most damning consequences of B* reckless decision to go to war, is reprehensible.
1,100+ troops 100,000 est. # of Iraqi civilian deaths

|
Where has he been if he thinks this country is united? He is more out of touch than we realized. why does he think they have to keep him hid from the public, especially any opposing viewpoints? Or was he not aware of that?

His handlers won't let anyone who disagrees with him anywhere near him.
Besides if it's so not divided, how does he explain the fact that he is not ahead 90 - 10?
I swear he gets lamer every day.

He's so full of himself. I am really disappointed in the media. How can they not call him on this stuff? Bush will lose big time. It is happening as we speak. He is losing his imaginary support.

Sorry, but if you look at this country and NOT notice that we are completely and utterly polarized, then you're not in touch with reality. I don't care if you're a Republican or Democrat. Anyone who believes that this country is not divided...is not fit to work at a McDonald's, much less be the leader of the free world.

This is what you get when you live in a perfect little controlled bubble - in which those around you hang on your every word and agree with your every statement. As we saw in the debates, Bush can't handle being questioned or confronted - because he is accustomed to audiences that are given questions to ask him such as, "Mr. President - may I salute you?" He thrives only in that environment ... for it's the only one he knows.

1. He doesn't read the papers. 2. He uses close advisers to filter info to him. 3. He allows only loyal Bush lovers into his rallies. 4. He punishes and/or censors advisors/cabinet secretaries who disagree with him.

I bet Brokaw is on the GOP shitlist now, though I guess that doesn't matter since he's leaving the anchor desk soon.
You just have to see the reaction shots of Brokaw when Bush* tried to answer some of these questions.
