Kerry/Edwards Campaign Cancels FNC Interview
Elizabeth Edwards cancelled her Monday appearance on Fox News Channel due to Neil Cavuto's bin Laden joke on Friday.
Last week she had agreed to appear On The Record, but Greta Van Susteren got a call late Sunday night informing her the campaign was planning to cancel the interview. "I am not sure why our show is being 'punished' for some other show (our show has yet to be criticized by either party for being unfair in this election) and second, I bet Mrs. Edwards has no idea that low-level staffers are doing this," she says.

On Friday I mentioned Neil Cavuto's joke about bin Laden wearing a Kerry-Edwards button. The Kerry camp asked for a retraction, but didn't get one, ABC's Note says -- so John Sasso blew up at the Fox producer on the press plane: "Is that the one? Is that her? I want her off the plane tomorrow. I'm not kidding." Communications director Stephanie Cutter cleaned up the mess: "He was wrong to say that. We jumped all over him for it."

it's a "fair and balanced" decision.
