Do NOT let the weather keep you from voting tomorrow....
We MUST go VOTE!!! The freepers are praying that it will rain because they think it will keep us from going to the polls. Be prepared to stand in long lines and do not let anything prevent you from voting in the most important election of our lifetime.

3. My nephew just got back from Iraq and after hearing his tales
of 140 degree heat, sandstorms and no A/C in some places, I will never complain about the weather again!

I hope anyone going to vote tomorrow realizes that any type of weather we may face on election day in this country does not compare with what the troops in Iraq are dealing with.

4. Has your nephew made any comments about the election....
and who he plans to vote for? I'm just wondering how those coming back from Iraq are feeling about this idiot of a commander in chief they have!

9. I have not discussed it with him, YET.
I have a feeling if he votes it will be for bush only because I know how rigid he is in his beliefs. He was in ROTC throughout school and has never wanted to do anything but join the military.

Also, he is a Navy Seabee (CB-construction batallion) and their job is building schools, bridges, etc. so he might not have the same disillusionment as soldiers fighting for a lie.

Now on the otherhand, there is my neice who is in the Navy also(stationed in Norfolk, VA). She and many, many, many of her shipmates are voting for Kerry. One of her closest friends was severly injured on the Cole when it was targeted by Al-Queda. She has stated that the CiC has failed them by not getting OBL and they are mad he went to war in Iraq instead.

5. Just rain in Houston.
I vote in an intermediate school auditorium, so there's room for much of the line to be inside. Weather will be a bit cooler, as well; that's actually energizing in Houston.

I'll be voting after work--plenty of time. Remember to bring: Festive umbrella, gloves, something to read. I'm ready!

6. Another hurricane couldn't keep me from the polls!
I can't imagine people influenced by a few raindrops. Depressed voter turnout due to rain? Apolitical apathetic wimps!!
