Why don't the Democrats make a bigger stink about this stuff? You hear things here and there, but I read Palast's "Best Democracy Money can Buy" and I just don't get why this kind of thievery and voter disenfranchisement isn't being screamed from the rooftops. I guess we'll see by Wednesday. If there are thousands and thousands of complaints tomorrow, I sure hope the Election PRotection monitors are on hand to force provisional ballots.

How the hell can that Colorado official get away with scrubbing felons when there's no law that says they can't vote? I don't understand how if it's common knowledge that this is being done, it's not being combatted. And where the hell is Gov Richardson in NM? He's a Dem, right? Is he on this shit?

our Secretary of State, Rebecca Vigil-Giron, is on TV constantly. She's made several PSA's telling people when the voting registration deadline is, when early voting begins, when absentee balots are due, and, the latest one, telling people what their voting rights are and what to do if they are challenged. I have been very impressed with her during this election season.

Richardson has been pretty quiet. He shows up at rallies and events, but that's about it.

As for Rio Arriba county, the "big" city there is Espanola, which has a population of less than 10,000. About 40,000 live in the entire county.

More than half the state lives in Albuquerque (where I am) and Santa Fe. Kerry will win those counties handily. I'm not worried about NM turning red.
