Isn't it sad that we have to worry about electoral fraud in the U.S.? |
|
I tell you, the only thing keeping me from being totally upbeat about tomorrow is that I'm afraid the other side will cheat and win in some important state like Ohio or Florida.
Before 2000, I would have never worried about this. I knew the electoral system wasn't perfect, but I always figured the guy with the most votes would end up the winner.
Now, we can't be so sure. I honestly believe John Kerry will get more votes tomorrow, but does that necessarily mean he'll become president?
Sorry, not trying to be a downer, but it really pisses me off that we even have to be concerned with this in a country that is supposed to be the beacon of democracy.

Why should any American have to worry about whether their vote has been counted properly?

Given the results of 2000, I think we know which side needs Election Fraud to "win."

We've had 4 years to fix this. 4 years wasted by Republican foot dragging in congress and the senate because they liked how 2000 and 2002 turned out, and sense the sweepign groundswell rising to wash them out of power. They like the corruptable systems that were in place, and only supported newer, even MORE corruptable systems (electronic voting via companies owned and run by Republican supporters.)
I want tomorrow to be a vaste, cleansing sweep, and then I want real investigations into 9/11, pre-Iraq intelligence, Florida recounts, Abu Gharib, so, SO much more. And then I want heads to roll. (Allthough, since we don't do beheadings, incarcerating the evil doers will need to suffice.)
Bush better set aside his xmas gift list and start writing down his pardon list. It's gonna be a biggie.
