Kerry's Veterans Brigade starts to arrive
Thanks guys!!

A bus full of veterans just disembarked at headquarters to the overwhelming sounds of cheering staff members gathered to welcome them to Iowa. Dedicated volunteers endured a 28-hour bus ride to visit Iowa on behalf of the candidate with whom they share a special bond.

veterans in the hours before caucus night. They are part of the “Veterans Brigade” that includes some of John Kerry’s crewmates that will gather in homes, make phone calls, host community meetings and screen the documentary “Brothers in Arms” to rally support for John Kerry. Elsewhere across the state, the Bolanos Brothers visited the Spencer, Iowa office to connect with veterans. Luis, Ben, Rick and Bill all served in Vietnam at the same time and are the only family in the United States to have had four brothers serving in Vietnam at the same time. Stay tuned for more updates from the Iowa campaign!

2. They are
I can't go, just not enough money. I expected to go, but seems the Bush recovery hasn't reached the west coast yet. My clients are saying it's the worst winter in years. Weird, huh?

4. I'll be happy to support Kerry if he is the nominee
but I don't think it's my people you guys have to worry about. It the suporters of a certain other candidate I would be concerned about.

5. They are from out of state? I'm confused. Didn't Kerry and Gep complain
that Dean's people were going to sweep into Iowa from out of state?

9. Leading the charge - Max Cleland
Former Senator Max Cleland will start his third trip to Iowa tonight to talk with Democrats and undecided caucus-goers about why he is supporting John Kerry for President.

Speaking about Kerry, Cleland said, “He and I bled and almost died on the same battlefield and he’s got the qualities we want in a president, with our country threatened from terrorists abroad and with the economy.”

<snip>

Cleland will be traveling to Sioux City, Denison, Harlan, Council Bluffs, Carroll, Rockwell, Perry, Winterset, Marshalltown, Jefferson and Des Moines to speak to voters about why he believes John Kerry is the only candidate with the courage and foreign policy experience to “stand up for what’s right” in 2004.
