20. Talk about damaged goods.
His many crimes in Florida has ended his political career outside of Florida. Democrats would once again go to the polls in droves......

Hey Jebbie, Go for it!

4. Yes, but he'd be limited to one more term only
Of course, that would be horrible enough.

Oh, but please let him run again in '08 so he can get his ass whupped!

7. Oh my, wouldn't that be WONDERFUL
It is possible and would be truly stupid. Plus, he's going to get dumped on for the next four years by the GOP as the guy who blew it. Look for '08 Republican wannabees to come out of the woodwork.

8. Yes
as far as I know, but it is highly unlikely that he would. If bush goes down in flames tomorrow, the republican party won't want anything to do with him.

9. You mean since he didn't win in 2000?
he can only be ELECTED twice. He is still working on the first time.

11. Since he was never ELECTED, can he run TWO more times?
But few losers are given a second chance, exception being Cleveland and Nixon. Parties may be fooled once, but most often not twice.

12. The GOP will be entirely different in 2008.
The split between the neos and the realcons will be like that between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Who will win?

The Democrats.

16. Yeah, but I think he's damaged goods.
A candidate who lost the popular vote once, and if he loses tomorrow, will lose a SECOND election legitimately probably isn't top on their lists. They'll probably pick someone more centrist (McCain/Giuliani) in '08, to escape from the neocon image. Don't know how that's going to go, seeing as the party is made up of some old-school Republicans (who don't approve of BushCo's policies), some moderates, and then the loony, fundie, freeper types.

I'm guessing the old-schoolers and the moderates are privately pretty miffed at Bush and his cronies, and will want to avoid someone like him next time around, but the funies make up a huge part of their base.

So who knows?

22. Yes and I think he will
I think they have been setting up for this for a few weeks now, as it became fairly obvious that they were going to lose.

Did you notice the change in rhetoric as election day drew nearer?

Bush changed from talking about what HE was going to do for the next four years, to how bad it will be under Kerry. They are trying to set up an "I told you so" campaign for 2006/2008.

If the GOP manages to hold the senate (I hope not), they will be able to torment Kerry for 4 years and make it very difficult for him to get the things he wants done, done (such as health care, raising minimum wage, etc..). In four years they re-run bush with the concept that we told it would be bad, look how nothing got done, he just flip-flopped for 4 years. (They will point to any time he compromised to try and get something done and call it a flip flop!)

This is exactly why it is CRITICAL to get people to the polls in every state. We need to take every chance possible to get Kerry a friendly senate so things can get done!!!
