Gillespie prattling about how "Bush has 8% lead in early voting"
on CNN. Is that a load of horse shit? is he trying to fake us out? Last I heard, early voting was going our way in IA and FLA. Is the man full of shit or what? Anybody else see this?

A lot of the strongest Democratic states don't have early voting.

5. I think he meant Kerry
Or maybe someone told him that Bush was leading by 8% in early polls. Maybe that's how the Republicans work. They have souless staffers lie for them. They don't read the papers themselves.

7. It's only because most of the states that have early voting
are solid red (a la TX). Faux's own poll showed Kerry had a five point lead (48-43) in swing states.

8. I didn't see it on CNN,
but I suspect it's nothing but crap. For one thing many of the "early voter" states are solid red already.

9. The vast majority of early voting states are solid Bush states
Bush should be up 10% if he wants to win.

11. Don't know the numbers but
Many of the early voting states are red ones, like Texas. A general number for all the early states is no good. It's the state by state that would matter. Again, if Texas is overwhelmingly for Bush but others are close or for Kerry, it might skew such a number. It's the number of voters that counts, i think. The huge turnout is a damn good sign.

33. I'll say it again- take a chill pill. Rather than criticize, why don't
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 07:20 PM by npincus
you write a post that you consider 'sensible' or informative and don't condescend to others. After all, I am not posting for YOU- that's rather egocentric if you think so. Were I you and I thought this was so silly, I would find something better to do than take a comrade to task and start a pissing match. Let's see you write a post that you feel meets the standard you would like to impose upon me. I promise you, if I think your post is assinine, I will not be so rude as to tell you to "use your head". Perhaps that's how you talk to others in your daily life. I promise you, you won't get very far if that is so. Sometimes we become like the people we despise. Think about it.

Then he may be right. Most of those states will be red whenever the votes are counted!

36. Because of the solid Red States, it could be. But IA and FL are solid for
Kerry in early voting. I bet the rest of the swing states that have early voting show strong leads for Kerry, based on IA and FL, and that's what counts.
