Wes Clark Jr. Is a Force of Nature
In today's LA Times, there was an article titled, "Children's Crusade," which detailed the efforts of candidates' children in helping their fathers toward the Presidency.

Wes Clark Jr. received the most coverage in that article, I suspect because he lives in LA, but also because he is an incredibly charismatic person.

Tonight, he was at the California Democratic state Convention, and he spoke at so many caucuses. He spoke of his family's humble background, of his father's belief in leading by EXAMPLE, of the joy of seeing General Clark demolish Bush in a debate, of his father's integrity and honor, of how his father is a real liberal, despite all of the stupid smears.

At every single appearance, he left new Clark supporters in his wake. At the California Young Democrats party at the end of the night, he always had a knot of interested people surrounding him, and I personally heard no less than ten people tell him they were now supporting Clark.

Family is so important. I feel honored to know Wes Clark and Wes Clark Jr. I respect and salute the son's devotion to his father, and the family's dedication to each other. Any family would be lucky to have such dedicated advocates.

DTH

1. agree, family is important
nice to see wes clark jr supporting his father. i personally like the children of my candidate supporting him also. i know they are the children of the candidates so most would probably blow it off as just doing something for dad. but how they do it is important also. they know the issues well and are able to debate them. it shows they care about the the nation which is always good.

2. Kerry's stepson
is a hottie!

I'd like to see the next President be either Clark or Kerry...for other reasons (honest!).

information, Dove. I enjoy learning about Clark and his family. I surely would love to hear Wes Clark, Jr. give a speech or a talk. I will be contributing to General Clark's "train" soon.

I certainly have admiration for Clark's son's devotion in believing in his father being a President this country can be proud of. Thanks for sharing and all your good efforts of seeing this great man in the oval office. :-)

7. Wes Clark's background
He is often referred to as a fledgling screenwriter. Here's his background, according to IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0164603/

Living Out Loud (1998) (assistant: Mr. Shamberg) (as Wesley Clark)

Out of Sight (1998) (assistant: Mr. Shamberg)

Gattaca (1997) (assistant: Mr. Shamberg)

Fierce Creatures (1997) (assistant: Michael Palin)

Cool! He worked on "Gattaca". I liked that movie!

Not sure of any screenwriting credits, though. But at least he's been connected with some somewhat prominent movies.

8. Most revealing thing on Clark from that article:

Clark says he fought with his father when he decided to get out of the Army after four years, because he was disillusioned with military life. But he says he believes absolutely in his father's policies. If anything, he says his father steered him closer to the center, to a path of reasonableness. "I was an extreme right-wing conservative in college," he says of his days at Georgetown University.

Well, he who can do it with his son, can do it with others, non?
Maybe not quite such a republicn then, huh?

11. Thank you DTH
It's so refreshing to see the whole family come out in support of this mans dreams and desires, family support means a lot, it makes the decisions in your life more meaningful when your loved ones stand firmly along side you.

The picture in post #6 shows the love the General has for his son and his sons heartfelt endorsement is wonderful to see.

This would truly be a first family to be proud of.

Clark Jr. is an inspiration to sons and daughters everywhere.

And then there were none!
