on earth. When the Iraqi war started, I was lurking on a freeper infested site. Someone pretending to have access to high ranking Pentagon officials posted a message claiming that Hussein had been killed in the inital bombing raids. You wouldn't believe how many people were falling for this - replies like 'Great news', 'keep us posted', etc. We all know how that claim turned out. The sad thing is, no one seemed to figure out that anyone with that security clearance would never be posting information on a public BBS.
