Robert Smigel

From TvTome.com:

On "Saturday Night Live" he wrote sketches such as The Superfans, The McLaughlin Group, The Sinatra Group, and The William Shatner Star Trek Convention.

His father was a dentist, who introduced tooth bonding to the public.

Currently writes the popular "TV Funhouse" cartoons on SNL, such as "Fun With Real Audio" and "The Ambiguously Gay Duo". Smigel voices many of the characters as well.

Voice of puppet Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, one of his most famous characters on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and "TV Funhouse". The character also made appearances in a Muppet Christmas movie, Hollywood Squares, and the 2001 and 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.
