Late Kerry surge in Ohio- are GOP vote challenges bad for their image?
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 05:59 PM by NewYorkerfromMass
I've got to think these anti-democracy moves of the GOP (voter "challenges" etc...) are costing them in the image department.
I wonder if there are any polls asking that question?
Their PR department sucks IMHO.

1. I doubt it
They would know better than to construct a poll with that question, but I'll watch for one.

What is particularly galling is seeing the nonstop ads from Ken Blackwell telling us how important it is that we get out to vote, and that we have rights as voters.

It will be interesting to see how Ohio plays out. We have a gay marriage issue that will probably bring the rural voters out in droves. The question then becomes, will the cities -- all the cities -- counteract that by coming out for Kerry?

My hunch is that they will. Blackwell has pissed off a lot of people here.

2. But the issue is well known enough....
thanks to all the court actions, that it HAS to be having an effect.
I believe post mortems will show this to be true.
I mean, how can the GOP state with any seriousness that it cares about democracy in other countries?

4. I think their attempts at vote suppression
will motivate our base; but I can only hope that their actions disgust swing voters and moderate Republicans and prompt them to pull the lever for JK.

3. "FREEDOM IS ON THE MARCH"
No matter how many paid GOP goons try to get between it and the polling places.
