Sean Hannity may be on suicide watch
Has anyone listened to his show today? He seems so down and demoralized. For three straight segments all he did was beg people to vote for Bush and repeated over and over and over again all of his anti Kerry talking points. He obviously got the "Oh shit we are in trouble memo". I also just heard on CNN that privatly the Bush camp is saying they suspect the majority of the undecideds and new registered voters to go with Kerry.

31. I'll watch. I'll even take notes.
I'd like to hear that sanctimonious, self-worshipping putz in the throes of agony all day tomorrow. I may actually watch some of the Pox "news" channel tomorrow night and Wednesday. I ordinarily avoid it like the plague (which it IS), but the postmortems of the election just might be REALLY satisfying to witness. Now, if he could self-immolate...

39. How Do I file FCC Complaint- He spent 3 Hrs Telling People To Vote Bush
isnt this an in-kind contribution in the millions of dollars?

today went FAR beyond his normal show. there was no couching or word games. usually he just lies & bullshits and pumps up the prez, but this time he was literally asking people to vote for Bush.

someone should start a main-line thread on this. maybe we can get his ass in trouble.

Anyone know the disposition of the case in Ohio. I know the federal judge ruled against the freepers, but they were planning to appeal today. Any word?
(I would have posted this as a new thread, but i'm still a newbie - ugh.)

15. My understanding
Their "appeal" is just PR. They already appealed once, to the 6th Circuit, which is pretty conservative, all in all, and lost. The case was remanded to the District Court, which then issued an injunction barring more than 1 poll surveyor from each party, and banning on-site challenges.

Blackwell seems resigned that his shenanigans failed, and issued an order to the poll workers conveying the judge's orders. Any "appeal" has no basis in law, and I would suspect that any decent lawyer would be worried about sanctions if they indeed tried to appeal again on the same grounds, or if they issued some sort of legal memorandum, when this case has been so clearly resolved.

2 Judges Bar Party Challengers at Polls

By TERRY KINNEY
Associated Press Writer

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Two federal judges Monday barred Republican Party representatives from challenging the eligibility of voters at polling places on Election Day.

U.S. District Judge Susan Dlott said that a black couple suing over such challenges would probably be able to prove them unconstitutional. In a similar case in Akron, U.S. District Judge John Adams said it is up to regular poll workers to determine if voters are eligible.

In a related ruling in Newark, N.J., a federal judge said a GOP list challenging the registration of 23,000 voters in Ohio unfairly targeted minority voters, and violated a decades-old order prohibiting such tactics. The GOP had claimed many of the names were fraudulent.

"The public interest is always served by encouraging people to vote," Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise said.

14. I listened to the beginning of his show today. He seemed to be telling hi
audience that Bush was behind in a lot of polls. He then announced a list of wing nut guests he was going to have. My guess is that they are trying their hardest to hold on to the votes they think they have in hand.

We could see a wholesale effort to stay home from the wingnuts.

35. I know what you mean, but when it's SO deserved... well, don't forget
there's always the confessional.

No, this is DESERVED. EARNED. Couldn't be sweeter poetic justice. I know some of these feelings we're having aren't quite kosher, but let's imagine, for a moment, that it was gonna go the other way. Or, for that matter, let's all remember 2000. Remember "sore loserman?" Remember the fists pounding against the door when those terrified vote counters were afraid of being overrun by an angry mob (of what turned out to be tom delay operatives and pals)? Remember the names they called us, and the hooting and the sneering and the smearing and the way they kicked us around and wiped their feet on us and laughed at us and accused us of everything short of murdering our mothers? That's how it'd be again, only more bloodthirsty if they were to savor what they would seriously call the validation of every sin they committed in 2000 and since. They would see a victory tomorrow as a confirmation, probably from Somewhere On High, that they were doing God's work and were righteous and correct and led by the Almighty (bush) and everything they did and said was proven to be God's will? They would have wrapped themselves around the Cross and then hauled folks like us off to Gitmo, or the stake, for witch burnings, whichever was closer. I know we're supposed to turn the other cheek, but I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT!!!!! I will CHEER when that-schmuck-whose-name-rhymes-with-vanity agonizes. Call it the Bonfire of the Vanity. I EAGERLY await seeing it smashed back in his smug , smirking, conceited, self-inflated face. People like him bring shame upon what was once the good name of broadcasting. NO ONE deserves it more, except maybe limbaugh or the bushies themselves.

25. Both Limbaugh and Hannity....
...seemed to be on fire about a week ago. I heard some snippets from each of their shows today. Today I noticed Rush seemed rather subdued, not his usual bouncy self, like the fight had gone out of him. And Hannity sounded like he'd been medicated and was under the care of a physician.

Limbaugh was saying he had all these invitations to be on the networks to do commentary on election night and all these people inviting him to big bashes. But it sounds like he'll stay home. Alone. Mostly looking at his computer but maybe from time to time watching just one channel for election coverage to prepare for his Wednesday show.

So maybe both of them are just wore out, like a lot of other politicos. Or maybe they got the word from Rove and other insiders that it's over for Bush.

We'll know soon. No doubt, both campaigns gave the candidates the almost certain outcome already.

Until I heard Limbaugh and Hannity today, I didn't really think Kerry had a chance against an incumbent war president. Now I think he might actually do it.

36. I'm just wondering....
...if Hannity and Limbaugh are depressed because they know Bush will lose and soon they will have to listen to four years of whining and wailing from their paranoid and crazy fans.

Yes, I think four years of whiny dittoheads calling them is appropriate punishment. For starters anyway.

Looking back, I recall that Hannity has been down since the middle of last week. Ever since the Bin Laden tape when he said the phrases about "seeing America's streets run with blood" and "seeing America mourn in silence". It was some real Kerry=wrath-of-God material. He used both phrases at least six times in a five-minute segment. I thought that was laying it on pretty thick even for his audience.
