When you vote tomorrow, remember Al Gore! |
|
The man who, by rights, we should be re-electing tomorrow.
Over the last four years, Al seems to have grown more liberal, and his eloquent speeches against the * administration have no equal when he gets warmed up.
Democrats had their ideals of fair play stuffed down their collective throat in 2000 by a group of right-wing thugs who were more prepared to fight back then.
Well, 2004 is another year. We **are** ready to fight tomorrow, and every day after that, if necessary.
Tomorrow, when I mark my ballot for John Kerry, I will, in my heart, say a silent "Thank you" to Al Gore, a lifelong Democrat, a fighter, and a caring, intelligent man.
Thanks, Al. :yourock:

2. Al Gore will always be my hero |
|
He's a big reason why I'm majoring in political science and want to get involved in the world to change it for the better. When I punched the hole next to John Kerry's name a few weeks ago, I did think of him.
Thank you Mr. Gore! :-)

VietNam Vet, Senator, Vice President, Grandfather, Father, Husband, Teacher and Friend.
He's always fought for us, he's stayed strong and resolute. He's endured.
Tomorrow when you vote for John Kerry and John Edwards, please take a moment and ask the higher power, whomever or whatever you hold that to be, to bless our brother Al.
We love you and we have not forgotten!

9. This is for you, Al................................... |

We should have taken it to the streets all over this country in 2000. Perhaps we did not fully understand. No excuses, Al.
I apologize.

10. You're kidding, right? |

I'll never forget him, telling the Black Congressional Caucus that they needed a Senator's signature, calmly counting electoral votes after knowing about the Florida fraud, more concerned about 2-party bi-partisan politics than about the majority of Americans who had voted for him, unable to imagine in his wildest dreams what having an unelected person in the White House would do this country--in short, I'll always remember him forgetting me.
100,000 (at some estimates) Iraqis, and over 1,000 U.S. troops have died because Gore was being statesmanlike while the chimp was being gangsta-like. You have to know your enemy, and you also have to fight your enemy. If you just go along to get along, maybe you won't die, but somebody surely will.
There are still people blaming Nader that Gore lost. But when you realize how many people were disenfranchised in Florida, Nader had nothing to do with it. Did the pukes (rioting to shut down the vote count and then going to court) have a smart strategy, and Gore (not demanding recounts in all districts) have a dumb strategy? Whose fault is that, Nader's? Gore is a good guy, and he's a nice, easy-going guy. He has made some fiery speeches a mere four years too late.
I'm going to tell you something. Even if he wins by the biggest landslide in history, President Kerry's lawyers are going to go after every incident of voter fraud as if it were Bin Laden himself. Because it is.

You were robbed, but you have become a better man since then, instead of wallowing in bitterness. Your "concession" speech made me cry because it was so good natured and sincere. You wrote it YOURSELF, something the monkey could never do. You left the race gracefully, but you did not lose. I will always look to you as a leader of our great party. To President Gore!:toast:
