Bill Schneider didn't suck this morning on CNN
Amazingly.

He actually said that not only did the OBL tape not help Bush, it hurt him.

He said Bush's approval ratings on the war and on fighting terror took a nosedive.

Of course, then he quoted a bunch of bullshit Gallup polls and said Wisconsin was safely in Bush's column -- so it was a mixed bag.

But for Schneider, it was an improvement.

2. He's a fellow at either AEI or the Heritage Foundation...

So he's *definitely* not to be trusted.

4. I'm an ex-Freeper...
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 08:17 PM by Davion
Not proud of it but, I am. And I remember railing against the guy for at one point when he was asked if HE became POTUS, what would be his top priority, and he replied "health care for every American".

He has his faults, but any time someone is attacked by both sides, he might just be "fair and balanced" (unlike anyone on Faux).

editted for spelling errors, again due to the ex-Freeper thing

7. schneider is a pretty good comentator, duers are overly
critical of him in my opinion. i really don't want to listen to a bunch of left-wing shills any more than rw shills.

8. How 'bout Candy Cowley?
This woman shouldn't have been sent to report on the Kerry campaign. She is obviously a freeper - never anything good to say. If I am not fast enough to change the channel when I see her "lovely" countenance on TV and I happen to hear something she says, I seethe for hours.

So much for "fair and balanced" coverage on CNN.

10. His demeanor was, again, quite telling this morning.
Usually he comes on like a sly, gleeful elf. He has this impish grin, and his eyes twinkle. ESPECIALLY if he's liking the stuff he's reporting. This morning, on the other hand, he was quite sober. Very straight-faced. No impish smiles, no twinkling eyes. No jocularity whatsoever. This was serious. What he's seeing is obviously sobering to him. And yes, he's a senior fellow at the (always fair and balanced) American Enterprise Institute. I've seen Frank Luntz behaving like this, too, when he has to report on results that make him uncomfortable. He sobers up, quick, also.
