my corner at least. After a long day amongst my colleagues and neighbors in my fair corner of west Texas, I would believe the following: 1. Bush in a landslide unless... 2. Democrats steal it in the courts 3. Democrats steal it some other way 4. Democrats invent new ways to be dishonest and steal things.
Would I have believed that without DU? Well, I'd be demoralized instead of weary tonight because my local paper, local news and virtually everyone I come in contact with daily says one of the above (or even crazier things...). But, as I have since January 2001, I come here and remember that I'm really not alone and that my native country still exists in some form.
Thank you for nearly four years of support, comfort and inspiration. If I can't be home and heading over to Copley Square tomorrow night, I'm really glad to be able to be here.

2. Without people such as you at DU we would think all of Texas is delusional |

Without people such as you, how would we know that Texas is still a great state?
Thanks.

make the Freepers look sane and reasonable. There was a definite low spot around I'll tell ya... but finally home and between my sane ultra-liberal husband and DU I have hope for the survival of mankind and the United States.
I cannot convey to some of you exactly what an unrelenting diet of this stuff is like. You can bet I will continue my monthly "mite" to DU.

and having family members in the heart of Indiana who are also blanketed with the propagada, yes I do appreciate you guys there out in the trenches.
I am very lucky to live in a very blue state and do my GOTV activities in a sister state which could go red or blue. But living in a red state is beyond something I could endure on a day to day basis.
Again, thank you the DUers in Texas. We do not appreciate you near enough.

6. Yes it sucks.... but..... |

I think (hope) we have made a difference this time. My hope is that when its all over the 20+ point * advantage will be something < 10. Its hard to judge the whole state since I am in a major "blue" portion of this state. However, everywhere I look, early voting is up, registration is up, and the no-repugs are fired up. Hopefully, that will translate to some kind of a statement tomorrow.
