Just found out my pro-Bush sister and brother in law didn't register..
lol.

After months of hearing my sister insult Kerry for his religion and for being pro-choice, and hearing my brother in law talk about what a great man and good Christian Bush is (he's politically connected himself, but I won't say more), my mom just told me that they missed the registration deadline and they won't be voting.

These are fervently pro-Bush people, and they aren't lazy or disorganized, so frankly I'm surprised. I think it's hilarious, though. It might have something to do with the general lack of enthusiasm for Bush in Texas. Republicans here don't seem to have much of a GOTV effort compared to what I've seen from the Dems (which hasn't been much to write home about, either).

No, Texas won't go blue, but it would be nice if deciding to take Texas for granted bit them in the ass somehow.

5. My guess is they missed it accidentally on purpose.
Whatever. No vote is second best to a Kerry vote!

11. I think that is going to be their attitude all over the country...
they are typified by their self-importance and their demand for instant gratification. Of course, the religous zealots will wait all day, but the typical soft brownshirt will grow impatient and go home. Good!

10. That's just what we need republican apathy!
You heard it here, we will take back Texas! Not this election, but just watch us in the future! John Kerry being president will help us in this task. I think the man is brilliant and destined for great things.

My next mission in life is Rick Perry.

12. What do you mean, "Texas won't go blue?" Texas will go blue!!!
The media is lying. People in Texas are much worse off now than they were when Bush took office. My prediction is that Texas will go blue!! The responses to pollsters there are given in fear. People don't want to be recognized as Kerry supporters for fear of losing jobs or incurring the wrath of some of their friends and family. TEXAS IS GOING TO GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. Sara..
They're still in complete denial, at least in my area.

Eventually, we will go blue, but I don't see it happening this time around.
