Virginia DUers: Whatcha think? |
|
I am in fairfax and I see far more Kerry Bumperstickers and signs the Bush. Certainly not indicative of the whole state but I have seen eneough polling to suggest we are within the MOE.
I think we could squeak out victory here tomorrow.

My RIGHT WING sister is in Fairfax. She is quietly supporting Kerry. She tells me about 1/2 her GOP friends are also (VERY QUIETLY) supporting Kerry. Many others are staying home. I really believe NOVA will swing the state for Kerry.
That said, if you can drive as many of your likeminded friends to the polls tomorrow, please consider it.

9. I'm telling you, there are many, many more like your sisiter. |

That's why I think the polls are screwed, especially in the swing states. Lot's of people are afraid to say they support Kerry in public and to pollsters because they know how vicious the Republicans are. Some would turn on their own mothers for voting for Kerry. These people are not stupid and are quietly going to vote for Kerry while telling the pollsters just the opposite.

4. Well I have been saying it for over a year now |

VIRGINIA is going BLUE this year even if its close I think the turn out of the youth vote is going to be enough to swing us into the Kerry Column. I have been conducting a poll of sorts myself at my college and I have only met a few people who do not intend to vote this year. But I have also been asking who these people are voting for and from what i can tell the youth vote will be Kerry's by a fairly large margin and this is coming from a guy right smack in the middle of the Appalachians.

...anecdotal evidence points to this area going Kerry. There are far more Kerry signs and bumper stickers. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

7. 215 volunteer drivers to GOTV in the Richmond metro area for |
|
the local democratic party! Not nearly as many Bush signs, etc as I'd prepared myself for - I was in NOVA for the last election & knew I was moving to "rush is right" territory.
We can definitely turn VA blue!

I recall that in 2000 VA was "too close to call" for a few minutes.

Virginia is ... well ... Virginia. Once you get south of Woodbridge, it's Mississippi with tobacco instead of cotton.
