I live in Norman, OK, and today I had a flier on my door that had a picture of Dem candidate Pat Cash flanked by Barry Switzer and Toby Keith.

I was rather surprised, and a little bummed that I'll have to side wtih Toby on this one. But even while I find his national politics pretty sickening, we need the help in this race, and I'm glad he's in on it. Cash's opponent Thad Balkman is WAY too conservative to represent the closest thing OK has to a liberal enclave. He was behind Oklahoma's gay marriage state question, and the state gop party has big plans for his future. Hopefully we can stop him here, and if Toby Keith can help accomplish that, I'll welcome his help.

But don't get me wrong that boot-in-your-ass song still blows :puke:

What war did he ever fight in? He could have fought in the Gulf War. He was the right age. But as usual, like all the rest of the Chickenhawks, he prefers to cheerlead others into battle, rather than get his precious hands dirty.

This thread reminded me of something I wanted to post. I don't know if the ads are running everywhere, but here in AZ, Ford is doing a promotion with him, and at the end of the ad they show this lump of crap saying "Bring it on!"

I know we're all busy this week, but when you get a chance, contact Ford Motor Company, and tell them that you are disgusted with their blatant use of that phrase which is obviously in reference to what Monkey Boy said in response to insurgent attacks. Here's their info:
