Local * HQ - paying people 10 cents to take * yard signs off their hands
Had to share this story. It happened last week.

My Dad ran into a friend of his at the community mailboxes (Dad lives in retirement village) and this man was passing out */Cheney yard signs. He told my Dad that he went to the local * HQ and that they were paying people 10 cents a piece to take the * yard signs off their hands! They couldn't sell them so they were paying people to take them. lol. This man was offering them for free at the mailboxes as people came to pick up their mail. Dad said he didn't get many takers. Awwww.
Saw a bunch of */Cheney yard signs on the main road to the retirement community the next day.
Gee, wonder where they came from?

I thought about taking them down, but someone beat me to it. :)

Anyway, thought you'd get a smile and laugh out of this. If they have to pay people to take their darned signs, things must not be going very well. HAHAHAHA. :bounce:

5. I know. That's pretty much what I thought. If I had been there
with my Dad you can bet I would have said "here, let me take those off your hands for you." And then I promptly would have trashed them in some form. LOL.

3. OMG that's pathetic
and I just read the article also posted on this forum about the * campaign in NH paying kids $75 a day to hold up bush signs and some of them aren't even bush supporters. Some had voted for Nader, some weren't voting at all.

ROFL!

Around here bush signs are pretty rare. I've seen maybe six or seven in my whole burb of 125,000 people (suburb of Dallas).

6. LOL. I haven't read that one yet. Talk about pathetic!
* and his gang sure are having it rough this time around. hahaha.

I keep thinking of the huge crowds that come to Kerry rallies. Then you read how at the * rallies they have to take out the 'extra' seats so it LOOKS like he has a packed house. Or the article I read yesterday I think, that said * had a 'couple dozen people' show up. Dozen? LMAO!

7. LOL! Well....around here, the most Republican County in the US!
I was seriously considering heading down to B/C HQ, getting a whole buch of B/C signs, and on my way back home stopping by Lowe's and picking up a quart of red paint, a paint brush, and a stirring stick that would staple nicely to a big piece of posterboard. Then, schlopping a big ole red-paint circle with a slash on all of those signs and painting on the posterboard "YOU STOLE MY SIGNS FOR KERRY/EDWARDS BUT YOU WON'T STEAL MY VOTE!!!" and sticking them on every square inch of the yard at my condo!

Wonder how long those signs would last!

8. A Bush* sign sprouted on a roadside about a half mile from

our house a couple of weeks ago. Mr. DemBones considered taking it down, but after a couple of days, someone else took it away! It was not replaced. The roads we drive don't have any other Bush* signs, either. This part of Georgia was big on Bush* in 2000. I don't know if Kerry could win Georgia but Bush* isn't going to run away with it, IMO.
