today we take back our country . . . |
|
I've been waiting four years for this day, and I can't wait for the polls to open here in New York . . . my vote may not mean all that much here (we're golden for Kerry), but it's a vote that will mean more to me than any I've ever cast . . . because I can then say that I was there when Americans came together and stopped the forces of darkness that had enveloped our land . . . and I did my part . . .
we're gonna win this thing, and win it big . . .
and then the hard work begins . . .

3. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised . . . |
|
I won't use the "L" word for fear of jinxing it . . . but we're going to see a record turnout, especially among young people . . . and all those folks won't be standing in line to cast a vote of confidence for the status quo . . . that's not what motivates people . . . Kerry will win big . . . and even take a few states that Bush is counting on, imo . . .

4. This Has Been A Long, Very Rewarding Road |
|
Cheers to all.
I, too have had this day in my sites since December, 2000...that horrible day which led to the worst 4 years this country has experienced. I also went through my own personal losses as both my parents died...lifelong Democrats who detested Bush and encouraged me to do what I could to get rid of him and his ilk.
For the past six months, I've spent endless hours and dollars in fulfilling the common goal of everyone in my family and an evergrowing one that I've met locally and here on DU.
I'm also in a very Blue state (Illinois), but am in a predominately Repugnican area, thus I have some local work to do...including proudly voting for Barak Obama and then tossing out a drunk Repugnican (Crane) with a Progressive Democrat...and being fully Blue for the first time in 30 years :bounce:
It'll also be great to take my daughter to vote for the first time...she's real excited. My son will join us in 2006 and one generation of Democrats will pass on to the next.
Cheers to all! There's still work to do, but it's starting to feel so very good right now.

5. Wrong - today, we win a battle. Tomorrow we start to take back our nation |
|
Tomorrow, we declare war on Gary Jarmin, the Ridenours, Response Dynamics, the Swift Boat liars, Club for Growth, Progress for America, Scaife, Rutherford, Lahaye, Falwell, the entire CNP shadow government, et al.
We must destroy this vast RW conspiracy.
Tomorrow, we begin. One by one.
