while my 2-year old is still sleeping. I have waited 3 1/2 years to lay the Smackdown on Chimpy, it will be a glorious moment. I am REALLY excited... I will walk to the polls in my pjs and bedroom slippers- who gives a f*ck. I live in Hoboken, NJ.
KERRY will be our NEXT president!
Good-bye Chimpy, and don't let the White House door hit your behind on the way out! Roast in Hell, Cheney!

Show Dopey what the hometown of baseball and Frank Sinatra thinks of him. John We're right behind you here in Saginaw, Michigan (hometown of Stevie Wonder and, er, GM steering columns).

7. I'm BA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Yippee! here's my story: |
|
It was pitch black and very chilly- got there at around 5:45AM EST. I was the 2nd person there... the poll workers had just started putting signs on the walls (as in "No Electioneering, etc."- and I buttoned my sweater securely over my Kerry badge- tee hee) and were preparing the machines. I learned to my dismay that our old-fashioned lever style voting machines had been switched to electronic ones- uh, oh. Anyway, by the time they allowed us into the inner sanctum to vote, at round 6:00- I would say there were about 12 people waiting, all guys with 1 other female. The poll worker looked up and commented in a surprised manner to me "There are a LOT of people here". I asked her (she looked to be in her 60s) whether that was unusual, and she said "Yes, at this hour it's very unusual to have so many people". Then I went into vote- I believe I was the FIRST! (they couldn't find the guy in front of me's name in the book- they finally did). Electronic voting was alright, I missed the loud "THUNK" you hear when you push the lever.
Anyway- it's pretty non-eventful, but that's my story! Thank G-d I didn't bring my 2 year-old... she'd be pressing buttons like crazy in the voting booth.
Hoboken is a largely middle-class (native poputlation) Democratic town, though we have an influx of weathly Wall-Streeters, etc. so am not sure how that's tipping the equation. However, I have seen Kerry signs all over the place here (4 on my street) and about 3 Bush signs- in the whole town.
Hope that wasn't boring. I feel great.
KERRY will be our NEXT president! Hasta la vista, Chimp!
