I was voter 01 at my poll this morning
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 06:24 AM by prodigal_green
I wore my blue silk dress and stood in the cold for 20 minutes until they opened the polls. I'm in NYC, and everything went smoothly.

Good luck swing state DUers!!

on edit: my boss told me yesterday that he was going to bring in a big bottle of NyQuil for me to take--so HE could get through the day! He's as blue as I, and he knows I'll be getting NO work done today.

10. I was number 10 as well
But number three at my booth.

They were a little slow getting started, it seemed to be running well enough once it was up.

5. Our voting line went around the block. First time I've
seen it like this and I've voted at this precinct for three years.

7. Also in NYC here,
& a bit nervous about encountering any problems, but it was great to hear things went so smoothly for you. I'm going to head out in about an hour myself -- too nervous to sleep, might as well get up and Vote!

8. Kudos!
I used to do that when I lived in Illinois. Now here in Arkansas, we can vote early, and I did-last Monday.

12. Good! I was #5, My wife # 4
If Kerry Wins, we will go out to dinner to celebrate.
If Bush Wins, we will still go out to dinner, but we will cry in our beers.

It took about 3 seconds to switch the levers. It took about 10 more seconds to check, recheck, recheck, recheck that I did the right, uh, excuse me, I shouldn't use that word, CORRECT column.
