13. Bush may have united us as we all want to vote now
I never could figure out why people did not vote and said it did not count if they did. I can recall when I had to get a mail in vote from the state of Maine and my husband said the officer that had to sign it said it was his only vote he had to do. It was a job as I had to do it all and get it to the officer to sign it so I could send it back but times are sure different now.

20. Rosslyn, VA is hopping.
I forgot to set my watch yesterday and so I ventured out at 5:15. One guy was already in line. I walked up the hill and got something to drink, then came back. By the time I returned around 5:40, I was about the 75th person in line. The line moved as quickly as it ever does, which is not very, and I placed by vote at 6:30.

On Wilson Blvd there are actually two polling places side about two hundred yards apart, the Rosslyn precinct and the Wilson precinct. There are poll-workers out doing a good job of guiding people into the proper lines, as they are in danger of commingling. There were literally hundreds of people in line by the time I got out. Turnout is heavy, the weather is excellent, the mood is civil and businesslike.

Arlington is going to win the state of Virginia today for John Kerry.

Big group of voters at 6:40am

I waited maybe 5 minutes.

Still way busier than I've seen it before.

Little old lady in front of me told the registrar she'd never voted before.

Yeah!

I never dreamed there would be so many people. Too bad Louisville has the rest of the state with which to contend, cause otherwise I bet we would be blue.

37. Just rolled by on my way into work after voting at 6am
6:00 I 1 was 130th

6:25 I got out and there was a line of maybe 300 behind me

8:00 No parking line looked like it was about 400 or so.

My god this is one precinct. if I get out my slide rule...I suspect that by 8am maybe 2,000 had voted. My guess is that the precinct probably has 10,000 eligble voters... 25% by 8am is incredible.
